Well, 'Joy to the World' is one of my favorite hymns, and it just seems to fit in Christmas time. I never really thought about whether it was a Christmas hymn or not.
So I guess you're saying it would be OK to sing it other times of the year, but then I'm one of those oddballs who would be happy to sing Christmas carols all year long, anyway! 😁
