As Doug Wilson recently said in his debate with Reformed Zoomer on the topic of is the CREC was schismatic: creating one new denomination out of three independent churches is actually anti-schismatic, as it reduced the total number of denominations by 2.

Excellent article and spot on. Independent churches need accountability and their pastors and elders also need community; it is a very isolating job. Stay the course old chap, and may God bless your endeavours and bless you richly.

Schism, division, or factions are not always bad. As the apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11:19, they reveal those who are approved by God among us, those who are standing firm in the faith.

Cool! It appears that you are creating a new denomination. I intend this as a complement. God bless Ohio Valley Mission.

It's not a matter of "good enough". It's a matter of "faithful enough" and of "laying aside every weight". Sometimes endless intramural debates simply tax too much energy/life out of church officers. One of the enemy's tactics is to "fatigue us into compliance". It was so in the days of King George in the political realm and it is so today in the ecclesiastical realm. Sometimes we just need to come up for air and look around and ask ourselves: "what are we doing?"
