I hope you are right. As a pastor I’m devoting nearly all of my energy to discipling men to lead their family, church, and community. We need to recover a local emphasis and make and multiply disciples through vital personal relationships instead of programs and public promotion.

That's key… to pursue a middle path, a practical-minded path of vigorous growth and building, without either the cynical malaise of the old, decaying institution or the excesses of the firebrands who would rather argue about the latest controversy than to diplomatically foster consensus and actually build.
