And just as a side note, I’m taking this as a “sign” (I say that tongue in cheek given your reference to charismania). I was contemplating a deep dive into listening to certain sermons from a certain pastor, whose music I really enjoy, on one of these fringe issues having to do with “because of the angels”. In light of your post I think I’ll just rest in the knowledge that my husband doesn’t care about that issue and I have plenty of other good work to do today🙂

As a young guy trying to learn as much as I can in a wise way, this thought process is very grounded and keeps me tethered to the dust I was made from. Again, thank you!
Saw this play out in British journalist James Delingpole - what started as interviewing more eccentric but very interesting podcast guests has consumed his whole identity to the point where everyone is an agent of Them and no one and nothing can be trusted. You can't function like that even though some of it is true.
Time spent earlier in life as a journalist made me skeptical. Maybe too much -- marriage advice: don't have too many instances of asking one's wife "Where did you learn that?" "What are your sources?" Not a good practice for the relationship. Yet, in journalism I learned there are some great stories out there; too bad the facts get in the way and research kills the yarn. However, I'll not expand on the current meme of the difference between a conspiracy theory and the truth is about eight months.
You are such a gifted writer. I have appreciated your articles more than you know and we’ve never even met! I can relate to this so much. My 80/20 has been off lately and I need to get back on track I can tell you that.
