Would you say it's a normative model? I'm from India where I don't see any other option other than bivoc right now (if I want to be faithful). I would like to see Christians in my country mature to the point where they tithe generously but that's nowhere close to the reality.
Hi Samuel. I'm not sure if you are interested but I wanted to refer you to a solid Christian pastor that I know who has been ministering in India for over 20 years. Currently, he is ministering in the New Delhi area (DBF Gurgaon Church). His name is Arvind Balaram. He has a MDIV from Southern (Louisville) and we went to Carleton University in Ottawa Canada together. He is also a member of TGC India https://in.thegospelcoalition.org/article/pursuing-christian-unity-among-indian-churches/ and he teaches at Delhi School of Theology as well. He is a solid Christian man and if you are interested to connect with him about serving in India (if you are planning on returning to Chandigarh area) I'm sure he would be open to talk with you. His Church's contact info is here: https://phase3english.dbfgurgaon.org/contact.html
Do you see a time when we will be able to go back to the Biblical, perhaps in the next 100 years?
Well, bivoc is clearly a biblical option and depending on your current situation, you can be full-time right now.

No, I think it is an option and you have to consider what is best for your particular situation.

can you expand on point 3? do you mean so the congregation isn't a pastor's sole source of income in case a church closes?
Yes.
