Young Kings and a Quick Update
I wanted to give a quick update on We Made People. This project is very much alive. We got sidetracked by my mother’s strokes and eventual death. The last four months have been dominated by tending to her medical and legal needs. It definitely took its toll on our family. We are just kind of coming out of a sort of daze.
Thank you for your support! It meant a lot.
Emily and I are back in the studio tonight. We hope to get four episodes out before I head off to Australia for 2 weeks in September.
We are pivoting on the bonus content for our paid supporters. Emily isn’t an experienced podcaster. Her recording a standalone episode every other week is just not going to happen. So, we will do the bonus Q&A episode every other week and give you early access to “Young Kings” episodes. Young what?
Ah, yes…
I’m rolling out a new podcast primarily aimed at young men in their teens and 20s. It’s called, “Young Kings.” I’ve been sitting on a ton of already written content for men (full podcast scripts) and haven’t been sure how to package it. I tried a few things and nothing felt right. Then I thought “I should just make this for my sons.” So I decided I’d readjust everything so a young man the age of my son Caedmon (almost 13) could listen to it and their mother not be totally scandalized. The content is similar to my solo-episodes of It’s Good to Be a Man (approx 20 mins) but much more fatherly in its tone. The first episode (“Which way, Western man?”) previews to our supporters Friday.
