"Why won’t they listen?" In Failure of Nerve, Edwin Friedman claims communication is an emotional phenomenon. I’ve found this to be true. We have a tendency to think of communication as a mental exercise that depends on saying the right thing (data) in the right way (technique).
Great writing and perspective. I've not been a huge fan of Freidman's writing. Utilizing his ideas to illustrate 2 Timothy and Philippians 4 as teaching for Spirit filled communication is very helpful. Thank you. I may have to order Failure of Nerve and give it a read.
